"In-patient treatment via NHS"

I consider myself fortunate to have been offered surgery at The Foscote for a full knee replacement. Complementing that treatment I was given a single room with superb facilities. After my first consultation, back in December 2014 and communication thereafter, I knew that this experience was going to go well. My Operation was carried out on 12 February 2015. Make no mistake, this is a strong team, dedicated to patient care and welfare. The Surgeon and Anaethetist were simply excellent, taking time to explain procedures fully and giving reassurances as to what to expect. Likewise, nothing was too much trouble for the nursing staff, whose main concern was addressing pain relief and taking care of any concerns - they too were just, so professional. An integral part of recovery is being advised and directed by the physios. The Foscote has three of the best! Each was encouraging and motivational; thanks to them I was able to leave for home just 3 days later. This review would not be complete without mentioning the catering staff, with their delicious food and also the cleaning staff - such an important task in a modern hospital. During my recovery I look forward to revisiting these amazing people. Thank you so much to you all! David W.
