"Thank you to our dietician, Emma"

Emma, our dietitian, has been great support for my son (Sasha) and us as a family.

My son has cerebral palsy and is tube fed. We initially followed the guidelines from the hospital and fed him using the milk feeds provided to us. However after a few months we decided that we would like him to have proper food blended down his tube.

This was not the accepted way to do things. However Emma was really supportive. She never judged us and understood our point of view.

She has helped us hugely with adjusting volumes and making sure nutritionally Sasha was getting everything he needs.

Recently we started the process to get the blended feed done at his school as well. She had to do numerous risk assessments and meetings. The whole process has taken months and she has kept everybody going and focused on the end goal.

We would like to thank her for all the hard work and hours she has put into our family.
