About: Chiltern Hospital

2nd Operation Oct 2014, all good. Recovering well and wonderful nursing from young nurse. Meal arrived served by the most miserable person ever. Who gave me no help even though my arm was paralised. I had just been given a tray of tea from the nurse before she went off duty. The catering staff asked me if I had finished, clearly it was obvious I had just been given the tea. She pulled a miserable face on leaving my room after nearly leaving me with very hot food on my lap. I mentioned it to the staff nurse who said she did not know who the person was.............really. I filled out the questionnaire to give praise to the young nurse, but also to make them aware of the service from catering was unacceptable. I also asked for a better sling as throughout the day my arm kept falling out of the beige triangle you find in most first aid kits. I was told I could not have one, as they have to be put on by a physio, and done immediately after the operation. I knew I could have one as my husband works for the group. It was only when I mentioned I would pay for a sling that they suddenly produced one and was put on by a nurse.Yes I was billed for it £25.00 I thought the whole idea of the questionnaire was to help improve where they have fallen down. I can only assume it was removed from the box as I requested a response and we are now 4 months on.
