For two Mondays in succession, my wife (88 years old) has suffered falls and been taken to A & E by the paramedics. The quality of care that she received could not have been surpassed. So we had to wait awhile, but perfectly understandable, as there were quite a few patients there - and some with much more serious injuries than my wife. However, she was seen quite quickly and the preliminaries, ECG, etc, were soon brought into play. On both occasions the Nurses were very sympathetic and understanding, and the Doctors extremely caring and helpful. She was given the appropriate treatment, and allowed to go home. Thanks too, to the receptionists who were so helpful in helping me to find a spot for me to park my car (the disabled bays - I have a badge) were full. I cannot praise the staff of A & E highly enough - even though they are extremely busy they find the time and courtesy to treat their patients with the appropriate care and attention.
"Brilliant!"
