"Doctor 15 minutes late for appointment"

Until this visit I have had nothing but positive experiences with Woking Walk-in Centre. I was quite unwell on a Saturday evening before Christmas and phoned NHS111 who then made an appointment for me to see a doctor at 8am the following (Sunday) morning. I arrived 10 minutes early and checked in for my appointment. The receptionist was kind and sympathetic and apologised that the doctor would probably be late "because he's always late even though he knows we open at 8am". I waited for 15 minutes to be seen, feeling extremely worried and unwell and overheard the conversation between the doctor and the receptionist when he arrived. He said "well, these people often get well overnight and then don't turn up for their appointments." Very unprofessional to be late and to then blame the patient for the actions of other patients. His manner during the appointment left a lot to be desired and he did not apologise for keeping me waiting.
