"Day with the School Nurse"

About: Locala Community Partnerships CIC / School nursing Kirklees

(as a student nurse),

I attended a training session at school today on the Epipen and anaphylaxis and learning about the symptoms and what to do in an emergency and what is the right protocol with the school nurse Beverly.

It was very proactive session. She was very clear in her presentation and controlled the audience very well. Teachers participated and felt confident to ask questions which Bev answered with confidence. She made the audience feel very welcome when she handed out the Epipen and the teachers had a turn with each individual pen.

At the end of the presentation Bev said thanks for having her and what a pleasure it was to come back to the school and also the Head Teacher thanked her and said what a good presentation it was and how he felt he had learnt a lot for the presentation. Overall what a good presentation.
