"Thank you Lings Bar!"

About: Lings Bar Hospital

My grandmother was on the Castle ward of Lings Bar Hospital for a few weeks over Christmas with a broken wrist. The level of care and attention she received was first class - she was treated with dignity and care, she had three good meals a day and even the location and grounds of the hospital are lovely. We visited most days and got to know the staff who are very friendly and helpful. In the weeks leading up to Christmas there were special events such as visits from local school children, a carol concert put on by a local choir and several carol services which gave the residents (and visitors, who were welcome to attend too!) something to look forward to. We were also able to take my grandmother home for a few hours to have Christmas dinner with the family which meant a lot to us and her. We would like to say a big thank you to all the staff for making her stay in Lings Bar a really positive experience and for helping her to get back on her feet.

I'm so pleased you had such a good experience with your Grandmother and that she is now on the mend. I shall pass your comments on to the team on Castle Ward to make sure they know you want to say thank you. Thanks very much for letting us know how you feel - it's an important way we can monitor how our services are treating people. Julie Julie Grant Head of Communications Nottinghamshire Healthcare
