"Parking"

I had my annual breast review and left home in plenty of time. Upon arrival at the treatment centre discovered that half of the centre car park is now for permit holders. As there were no spaces and I was following another 2 cars trying to find parking, I left to seek alternative parking. By which time I was late for my appointment! In desperation I parked on the end of the staff parking and ran to the reception desk to announce my arrival and explain that I was illegally parked and would be going to find alternative parking. After circling the entire patient parking areas I returned to the treatment centre and sat and waited for a space to become available. To say I was stressed was an understatement and I told the consult who apologised and said it is going to get worse. I informed her I would not be returning for any treatment. The parking situation is diabolical! Why are there so many staff parking areas? I think it is time to introduce a park and ride system! Having to come to hospital for an appointment is stressful enough without the added stress of trying to find a parking space. It is a good job I am able bodied, if I were in any way unable to walk any distance I would have just gone home! Get it sorted! What a joke: you don't even list the breast department in your list of departments!
