Visited A&E after a snowboarding accident. Took a nasty knock to the head and was complaining that my jaw wouldn't open and was painful.
Lovely original doc shown concern and wanted to do a CT scan and X Rays on my jaw to assess. This doctor went off shift and I was handed over to a doctor (can't recall their name). And the doctor said X Rays and CT scans was fine and I should go, didn't assess my jaw even after I persisted that it wasn't right.
Instead said they think it's "muscular" and will be ok in a few days. I have only been able to eat soup since Thursday last week as my jaw physically wouldn't open.
Today I was going to go Oldham A&E for a second opinion as I was in a lot of pain and my jaw physically wouldn't open. However this morning when I woke up I heard a massive "click" in my jaw and now I have full mobility and no pain. Now I am no doctor but that doesn't sound like it was muscular to me, and following all the bad press about tameside I can concur that I didn't get the best treatment and have a good mind to share my story with the local press if you have such shockingly disinterested doctors working for you i feel.
For clarity though, the doctor that first seen me was very good and shown genuine interest in me. The doctor after 5pm couldn't of cared less.
I think in future I will be going oldham A&E if this is the treatment I expect to get at Tameside
