"Lovely staff!"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford)

The staff in particular were very lovely, helpful and kind. I felt completely looked after and cared for when I went in for emergency surgery. My dignity was of the utmost importance. Only issue's faced were about visiting arrangements, as a young person I wanted my parent there as often as possible, but obviously this could not be met. The nursing staff here are excellent!! They made my first and hopefully last stay for a long time completely bearable and I couldn't thank them enough for that.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital. I am delighted to hear that you are so pleased with the care you received. I would like to thank you very much for your positive feedback. Kind comments such as yours are always gratefully received. I note you made some comments regarding visiting hours. One of our senior nurses advises they are quite fixed, however, patients are treated on a case by case basis. It is up to the nurse looking after the patient if out of hours, or the ward matron to make the decision based on what is happening at that time, other patients, the patient's needs, etc. Thank you once again for sharing your experience, and I do hope you are making a good recovery.
