"Knee replacement in Wansbeck General Hospital"

About: Wansbeck Hospital

I had a total knee replacement on my right leg on the 3rd February 2015 and I can not praise the staff enough. There was a relaxed atmosphere on ward 7 but everyone from consultants to cleaners were very professional and totally dedicated to achieving the needs of the patients. The food was good, the level of care could not be faulted and everyone was very friendly. I have never stayed in hospital before and would have no apprehension about staying again. Our NHS is something that we should be proud of and I would like to thank everyone of the staff on ward 7 for the excellent care that I received during my 3 day stay. Many thanks

Response from Wansbeck Hospital

Dear Roland, I am so pleased that your very first admission into hospital has proved to be such a positive one. Thanks so much for this lovely feedback about the high quality care provided by the ward 7 team at Wansbeck. I am delighted you were well looked after and cared about in an atmosphere where you felt able to relax. Your kind words will bring a welcome morale boost for our hard working staff - thank you. Like you I am very proud of the NHS and feel we should be doing as much as we can to celebrate all we do well, as well as act swiftly to improve where we need to. Listening to patient feedback and acting upon it is essential in this and so I feel very grateful when people take the time to share stories about their care. Do take great care of yourself and that new knee, and please let us know if there's anything we can help with. with best wishes, Annie
