"Care and patience shown to my 85 year old mother"

About: St Peter's Hospital (Chertsey)

(as a carer),

My mother who has recently been diagnosed with oesophagus cancer and was taken by ambulance to St Peter's in August. I found the care given, excellent, with much concern and patience shown to my 85 year old mother, who was in extreme pain on arrival.

The young doctor was superb with her, very caring in chatting and examining her, apologising if he hurt her, which could not be avoided, owing to her condition.

The hospital corridors, waiting rooms, wards, toilets were very clean and fresh.

My mother has been admitted for the night, and I felt very relaxed knowing that she is in a safe and clean environment, and mummy was happy to stay, which was not the case at Wexham.

Please convey many thanks to all, doctor's, nurses, cleaners, porters. The X-ray Dept, they are a credit to St Peter's.

Well done
