"Calm and informative eye consultants"

About: East Surrey Hospital / Ophthalmology

(as the patient),

After suffering a scratch to my left eye, this caused more damage than originally thought. I was sent to Limpsfield ward for an emergency appointment and was seen within 15 minutes.

A follow up at Limpsfield was again within a few minutes of my appointment. Both consultants were calm and explained things very well. I wasn't just treated as a number or a patient, was treated like a human being in pain and needing help.

The follow up appointments at the eye clinic were just as efficient by both the consultants and reception staff. Cannot fault this clinic whatsoever.

Dear Karen1974

Thank you for your nice comments about the team on Limpsfield ward. Sometimes because of the large number of patients we see there can be a long wait for ophthalmology appointments so it is good to read that you were seen so promptly.

I will of course pass on your kind words

Kind regards

Ian
