"Rescheduled appointment"

About: Heartlands Hospital / Urology

(as the patient),

I attended Heartlands A&E in September 2014 suffering with painful kidney stones. I was not admitted but given appropriate medication and before I was discharged I was told that I would need to see the consultant in Outpatients Dept. in a few weeks. I received an appointment letter date 13th October 2014 to see the consultant on 10th November 2014. The next day in the post I received another letter dated 14th October 2014 rescheduling that appointment to 22nd June 2015 which also stated that that appointment was not guaranteed! My questions are;

1. How can a rescheduled appointment change by 7 months within a 24 hour period?

2. Is there any point in attending a follow-up after such a long time as I cannot see the benefit for anyone?

Yooj

I am sorry that you have had your appointment changed but not been given any other information. Please could you e-mail me with your details (name, address, date of birth) so that I can investigate this further and get things sorted for you.
