"Thank you to the IRIS team, you were great"

About: Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust / Mental Health Services for Older People – Inpatient

(as a friend),

I have been involved with the IRIS team throughout the involvement of helping my friend. She has short term memory, a lot of health issues, and she has lost her partner of 30+ years. A man who did virtually everything for my friend, giving her medication, cooking etc. shopping to name a few. She couldn’t cope with his death and came out after a week with carers from the hospital. She then tried to cut herself and was admitted again for a week. When she came home she started having the IRIS team coming in they knew how to talk to her and realised how she likes them and looked forward to them talking more. She really liked them and looked forward to them coming. She seems better in her mood but unfortunately they can’t keep coming for good.

Now she has another care package with another company and I feel she isn’t doing as well, she’s not eating like she was. I hope she eats well soon.

Thank you to the IRIS team you were great.

Thank you for taking the time to leave such kind feedback regarding the Intensive Recovery Intervention Service (IRIS). I will ensure that the team is made aware of your post.

Unfortunately IRIS is only a short term assessment service and we are not able to continue long term.

I'm sorry to hear that your friend isn't doing as well. I'm sure you already have, but please do pass on your worries/concerns to the current care provider.

Sending all our best wishes

Kind Regards
