I must admit I was very worried about coming into hospital after reading all the bad press, but I need not have been concerned. The treatment I received was wonderful, I spent my stay on Horndon ward and all the nursing staff were really lovely, the cleaning staff done a good job and were also very nice with a smile and good morning welcome, I was looked after by a very nice male nurse named and I would like to say a big thank you to him for his care, nothing was to much trouble for any of the staff, also when it was my time to go home I was not rushed to vacant my bed, I was told to go when I felt I was ready. All I can say that Basildon hospital has done very well to come through all the bad press and show that the NHS is still going strong.
