"I am not sure why a ‘middle man’ is necessary really"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as the patient),

I was confused at being contacted by TRAQS as I had never heard of it.

The referral was so quick that the consultant had not received the MRI results that he needed to enable him to give me comprehensive advice.

I am not sure why a ‘middle man’ is necessary really.

Dear Noble810

Thank you for providing feedback on your recent referral.

I am sorry that you were not aware of TRAQS existence. Your GP should have provided you with a Patient Leaflet which gives details of what to expect and what TRAQS do to assist the patient to book a suitable appointment.

TRAQS was established in June 2012 at the request of local GPs, with the aim of providing patients with a choice of location and a convenient date/time for their appointment. We offer a choice of location in order to secure the earliest possible appointment and reduce delays where possible. Patient are given the option of travelling out of their local area to secure an earlier appointment.

Unfortunately as TRAQS do not arrange MRI appointments we have no control over the time it takes for the results to be provided to the consultants.

Thamk you again for taking the time to share you comments with the team.
