"My dad is now more ill than when he first went into hospital"

My father went into Queen Elizabeth Hospital over 2 weeks ago with breathing problems. He went into A&E first and was told within a couple of hours he had fluid on his lungs. He was sent to ward 5 and is still there. He is an elderly man and tells me he has sat in the ward for these 2 weeks not doing much. I asked the doctor to tell us what was going to happen next after the first week but I think we didn’t get much further information. Now my dad has an infection and many other things.

I feel angry with the treatment he has been receiving because he is now more ill than when he first went in. My dad is a very proud man and feels that he has been brought down by the treatment he has received from the nurses and doctors in ward 5.

I will be going to make a complaint tomorrow.
