"Quick and reassuring emergency ambulance"

I called an emergency ambulance to an address near Calderstones Park last week as I found a man who had fallen in the night and couldn’t get up again.

The ambulance arrived quickly (less than five minutes) and the operator stayed on the line with us throughout the wait, which was very reassuring. The two paramedics were very thorough and their demeanour put us at ease.

This was a great contrast to two previous experiences calling an ambulance for someone who had fallen and suffered a head injury in the last year, where on both occasions we waited for over four hours for an emergency ambulance, without being given any indication at all how long we might be waiting.
