I had routine screening on the 26th November 2014, I received a recall letter on the 5th of December had a biopsy on the 11th December, cancer was confirmed on the 19th December. I had an operation on 13th January and I am now on the road to recovery, which is fantastic as was the care I received. Right from the start I was made to feel that I and my feelings were important, every thing was explained in as much detail as I wanted, I had follow up calls at home, the atmosphere in the department was relaxed and friendly whilst also reassuringly professional.I can't praise the team enough.
