On arrival at the hospital I was told I wasn't far enough into labour and there was no beds so I'd have to go home, I refused as I knew it wouldn't be long. I was put in a training room and left to have a bath, I was left totally alone with my partner and parents for an hour. . My waters went while I was laid on a freezing cold floor, they asked me to walk to delivery and I couldn't. They wheeled me through and 6 minutes later my son was born. I was then left sat for 2hours in my own blood until I decided I couldn't sit in it any longer. My partner put an incontinence sheet on the floor so I could stand up and get to the toilet. I then had to go ask if I was ok to have a bath and beg for something to eat as id not been able to eat during labour and I hadn't been offered anything, I never even received a drink! I appreciate that the hospital was very busy but I was left scared with no support or help from any staff. The midwife that helped me breast feed at first was great however, the breast feeding expert I had to put up with during the night behaved as though I should know what I was doing and came in to my private room at all times of night speaking to me as though I was a child. I'm 26 and as he was my first child I didn't know what I was doing, this does not however mean I am stupid. If I hadn't suffered badly with PND I would of made an official complaint closer to the time
