Dear Sir Apologies if you were unhappy with the outcome of your visit to the Minor Injury Unit at Gravesham Community Hospital. As a result of your review the manager of the Minor Injury Unit at Gravesham Community Hospital has spoken to the nurse who saw you. We believe that your wish was to be prescribed antibiotics. However following a full examination we understand that you were given a diagnosis and explanation as to why your presenting complaint did not require antibiotics. The Trust guidelines were followed by the member of staff who saw you and hopefully you will understand that the staff cannot prescribe antibiotics unless the patient's symptoms deem this to be necessary. As advised at your visit please note that you are more than welcome to return to the Unit or go and see your GP if your symptoms have worsened. Best wishes Customer Care Team Kent Community Health NHS Trust Tel: 0300 123 1807 Email: kcht.cct@nhs.net Website: www.kentcht.nhs.uk
