"Professional & caring"

About: Huddersfield Royal Infirmary

Following a 20ft fall from his roof, my son, was taken to HRI. The professional care and attention that was given to him was fantastic, starting with the calm, methodical approach from the ambulance crew followed by the team waiting for him at the hospital. He was attended to by numerous members of staff, who were knowledgable and caring, we had regular updates, at the variuos stages of his time in A&E. We have nothing but praise and gratitude for everyone who played their part, however small in assessing his condition. He walked (very slowly) out of A&E after six hours. Our personal experience on that day was nothing like the negative press reports about the NHS reported that particular week. Thanks again.

What an awful experience, for both your son and you, his family. It must have been an extremely worrying time for you all and such a relief that he walked out, albeit very slowly!. However, we are of course pleased to hear he was well looked after and you were happy with his care, which is, of course, how it should be. We do hope he is recovering well from his unfortunate accident, he must surely be battered and bruised after such an event, but hopefully that is the worst! Many thanks for taking the time to post your comments.
