"After a CT scan I don't have an outpatient..."

I was referred by my GP following serious blood loss in my urine, had an emergency appointment with Urology, they failed to send me a letter about a CT scan so I was unable to have it on the day they also did other tests. The consultant apologised and told me to book one that day asap, which I did and then return to inform him of it. The nurse also asked for my phone number, I gave her all the information about my CT scan appointment, she said that they would let me know once they knew the results. This was one month ago, I haven't received any news, I have rang Urology, I have rant the consultant's secretary and have heard nothing, I appreciate that people are very busy but I have had no response, until today, someone (they didn't say who they were) left me a message telling me that it was my responsibility to book an outpatient's appointment but gave me no details, no-one had informed me of this. I managed to finally speak to a registrar in Urology who said he had my CT scan results in front of him but could not give me the results. I understand that, but it has been impossible to speak to anyone, the switchboard -after waiting 9th in the queue (again)- transferred me to Urology (again)where the phone rang out for ages and no-one answered (this has happened for days). I do not know what to do. As you can imagine, I am very stressed and awaiting what could be bad news, please help me. My GP said he cannot as it is the consultant who has to communicate with me. I have been a patient in the past at the Free and my care was outstanding, I cannot believe that the CT scan (where the X-ray staff said the report would be written that very day and sent to the consultant) may still not have been read or dealt with. I am very disillusioned and extremely upset. Please let me know how I can book an outpatient's appointment so I can finally find out my fate. I do not know why no-one didn't tell me, usually a professional and responsible caring person would send a letter or inform you on that day of the procedure.
