"Revisit as in-patient to Ward 17 due to relapse"

About: Royal Preston Hospital

Taken ill abroad with re-occurence of myasthenia gravis. Flew home to first available bed in Ward 17. Following 5 days of treatment my recovery was remarkable to all. Previously unable to chew, swallow or speak. The whole Staff, Cleaners and Caterers @ Ward 17, despite obvious understaffing problems, work entirely as a well honed unit, without exception and cannot be faulted in any way. Nothing is considered too much trouble, their devotion to duty is commendable. I was admitted unable to eat practically anything at all but from critical to discharge home (8 days) I gained 6 pounds. The catering was commendable throughout, no complaints there whatsoever. Massive thanks, a tremendous Unit throughout !!!
