"poor communication"

About: Bassetlaw Hospital / Ward B2

(as a carer),

My partner is currently being treated on a section 3 I feel that communication between staff and carers is frustrating which is leading to poor care for partner who is currently self medicating under a section 3 because a ward dr did not see them this week as my partner had previously been seen on the Friday. that dr upped his meds but my partner is currently self medicating and not even taking his normal dose of medication

I am very concerned to read your posting as it is vital that patients and their carers are involved in care and treatment plans to assist recovery. Have you spoken to Elaine the ward manager or Kelly the charge nurse about your concerns as they should be able to assist you and arrange an appointment with the consultant psychiatrist? There is also a poster on the ward with contact details for the matron who would be happy to help.

Alternatively please contact me on 0115 9691300 # 14112 so we can discuss a satisfactory way forward for you and your partner.

Kind Regards
