"treatment for tendonitis in wrist in Radiology"

I had an initial appointment at the Glenfield which was equally good; seen on time and treatment recommended which I agreed with. Went to the General a few weeks later for ultrasound and steroid injection appointment. Again, seen immediately (which I was surprised and pleased about) and then had a chat to the radiologist who said he would do an ultrasound and then decide whether I needed any treatment. He then recommended that I did have the injection because of the visible inflammation. He then gave me a local anaesthetic and then injected the steroid in . Not pleasant but not that painful. All the time we were having a laugh and joke about things and afterwards he showed me the ultrasound pictures showing me where the inflammation was in relation to the tendons and the bone, explaining what he'd done and why. Afterwards his assistant got me a cup of coffee and checked I was OK. I then was allowed to leave and decided to get a taxi home as you're not advised to drive. The receptionist was lovely and said she could phone for a taxi for me. It arrived immediately so I was pretty chuffed all round. In, out and on the way home in 45 minutes. I was very impressed with everything. Vive le NHS!
