I recently had my first ever stay in hospital, I was upset, frightened and in a lot of pain. I was admitted as an emergency case during the night and the next morning transferred onto ward B6, I had no idea what to expect, but all the staff, the nurses, healthcare assistants, people who brought the tea, the person who cleaned the ward, everyone, treated me very kindly and made it much less frightening. I was treated with dignity and respect from the minute I arrived on the ward to the minute I left. The experience was a much more positive one than I had anticipated, due entirely to the staff, and they have my thanks.
"Thank you ward B6"
