My partner was admitted to A&E at Croydon University Hospital (known as Mayday still by the public) for having broken his leg in an accident at work.
We were seen to very quickly by the A&E consultant and promptly referred to the orthopedic team which was fantastic.
The only thing that I was dissapointed about was the state of the hospital. It looked like a building site and the place was grubby! The A&E xray department looked like a bomb site. The appearance and cleanliness of this hospital was shocking.
None of the staff introduced themselves so we did not know who we were speaking to. The nursing staff we met seemed completely oblivious as to how to clean a wound as well.
Very disappointed with the competency and appearance of this A&E department.
