My son developed a swelling last week on his face GP referred him to the A&E unit at London Hospital.
I took him in and spent about 7 hours with various teams after an ultrasound they decided to give him antibiotics and a follow up in a week as he did not show any signs of pain and results did not show any infection.
I took him for a follow up following Thursday to the childrens ENT Clinic, after doing some tests they realised there was a serious issue and he needed some more tests and scans. It was all followed up and we then sent back to A& E for another XRAY this was not very helpful, so we were then referred to the Dental Team who picked up problem and did a CT Scan all at short notice and managed to operate on my son the next day.
I cannot stress how relieved I am that it is all under control now and cannot praise the staff at the London Hospital right from the A&E, ENT Clinic and at the Dental Hospital who reassured us and speed up the whole process without alarming my son who is only six.
