"Thanks to all of the staff concerned"

About: Heartlands Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

After a bad fall at the bus stop, where I fell on my face, a close friend took me to the A & E Department at Heartlands Hospital.

I was in a bad way, with black eyes, bruises to my face and extensive trauma to my nose.

I just wanted to comment on how well I was looked after from start to finish.

I cannot fault the staff at Heartlands Hospital. They were kind, attentive, communicative and calmed me down after such a shock fall ( I am in my 60's). I needed a fair amount of stitches in my nose and the staff attended to me in a gentle, kind manner, ensuring I was ok physically and mentally before I left to go home.

I just wanted to extend my sincere thanks to all of the staff concerned.

Thank you for taking the time to send this feedback. I am pleased to hear how kind and attentive the staff were when looking after you following your fall. I will make sure that the staff are thanked for this. It is particularly good to hear this at present and be able to pass this on to staff as they have been working incredibly hard recently in very difficult circumstances.

I hope you are now recovering from your injuries and thank you once again.

Matthew
