I arrived at the QMC via Medlink Services (excellent) and I went to admissions desk for Ward F18. After 20 minutes I was shown to my bed.
I sat and read my book until I met the anaesthetist. I got changed into a gown ready for my operation (fasciectomy for dupuytrens). I then went down and had the operation.
I was brought back to the ward and had a cup of tea and a sandwich and then the nurse came to check up on me. I got discharged with an appointment in 9 days. I caught the Medilink bus to park and ride and my wife drove me home.
I returned to the QMC for my appointment and was told progress was excellent. I was back again after 7 days and progress is still excellent. My next appointment is in thee months so I am now waiting for that date.
"Excellent progress at QMC"
