"My father's memory loss"

I take my father to his appointments at the memory clinic. I do not go into the room with him when he takes his test because he feels important doing that on his own. I find it awkward though when we go into the consultant and doctors room because sometimes it’s difficult to tell him how my father is progressing with his memory loss! He is still not too bad and he realises when we talk about him.
