"Excellent service from Physiotherapists in..."

About: Leicester General Hospital

We have been 3 times now to see the physiotherapist as my husband has M.S and, therefore, chronic weakness in his left arm and hand. Each time she has been professional, good-humoured, sensitive, polite, efficient and punctual. Importantly, you don't feel hurried and the time needed is taken. We are both extremely happy with the treatment/splints that my husband received. They have made a big difference. We were saddened to see, flagged up by reception, that in only 4 days prior to Christmas there were 99 'no-shows' from patients in the Physiotherapy dept alone. Before the public complain about long NHS waiting lists perhaps they might wonder whether missed apps has something to do with that?

Hi Linda Thank you for your really kind comments. It's great that you and your husband are so pleased with his physiotherapist. They sound like they reflect our hospital values to a tee. We welcome public nominations for members of staff for our 'Caring at its Best' awards, so if you wanted to nominate the physiotherapist, we'd be very happy to hear from you. You can find out more about the award here: http://www.leicestershospitals.nhs.uk/aboutus/our-purpose-strategy-and-values/caring-at-its-best-awards/ Thank you again - we wish you and your husband well. Sincerely Communications Team Leicester's Hospitals
