"Fantastic gyn dept"

About: New Cross Hospital

I can't thank the gyn staff at New Cross enough for my treatment. I had a diagnostic laparoscopy, which I could have declined - I was totally informed and given the choice - after having pain and a large ovarian cyst (which landed me in A&E earlier in the year, which was also good service). I was hugely nervous about the procedure and the nurses and surgeons totally put me at ease. I was also a difficult, high risk case and they catered for me brilliantly. The waiting list of 18 weeks was a bit annoying, but fairly standard and I got an earlier cancellation appointment right before Christmas. I will say that all my appointments prior to surgery were behind schedule though, the consultant was over an hour behind schedule each time. Other than that, the standard of care was excellent.
