About: Southmead Hospital

On Tuesday 6th January, my partner was taken to Southmead Hospital at 37 weeks pregnant due to blood loss. Following her induction and numerous complications, she gave birth to our 1st child on Thursday 8th January. During the time in hospital we where helped by dozens of staff and the service was absolutely outstanding. Our midwife was our greatest support throughout and along with her colleagues at the Maternity Centre, are a credit to the NHS. Although we have passed our thanks on to the team at Southmead's Maternity Centre, I'm sure additional recognition from you would go a long way. We often hear about troubles at the NHS but from now on, this experience will be the benchmark that we will measure all future service on Once more, well done!! Best wishes.
