"such a bad start"

About: St Thomas' Hospital (London)

I found out I was pregnant on December, rushed to the go to get it confirmed and asked for a referral to stay thomas. Evidently they only found my referral letter on the 30th December. I had to follow this up personally by stopping into the ante natal clinic. I was told to wait a week. No booking appointment. This week I'm back at the reception asking for an appointment. I was told they're busy with referrals. I had to push and now have my first appointment on the 30th of January. Two months later. I will be 15 weeks for my first scan. Unacceptable What if there is a problem with my baby other than st thomas inefficiency

Thank you for taking the time to give this feedback. The Matron responsible for the Antenatal clinic has read your feedback and apologises for the delay in processing your referral later. Your experience shows a level of service below what we strive for - over 90% referrerals received by the clinic are processed in time to ensure a first appointment before 13 weeks. The service management team will need to find out what went wrong on this occasion. If you have any outstanding concerns about your pregnancy and would like to speak to the Matron responsible for the Antenatal clinic, please telephone PALS on 020 7188 8801, 020 7188 8803 or email pals@gstt.nhs.uk.
