I am very lucky to have 2 beautiful sons and have had wonderful support from my Health Visitor, Athena, in Biggin Hill but have just found out she is having to move areas!

I have needed a bit of extra advice over my sons weight and she has been just so very helpful and understanding. I am quite a shy person and have found her very approachable and non-judgemental. I even attended the Henry course she was running that was very informative and has helped me develop my parenting skills.

I am so sad to hear she will no longer be at Biggin Hill because I have developed a very trusting relationship with her and wait to see her when I go to the clinic for advice with my boys. I am not the only lady that feels this way about her as my other local mummy friends always mention how helpful and approachable she is with them too.

I appreciate that all things change and there is obviously a bigger picture here but I was hoping that if someone in the appropriate department reads this they might be able to make it possible for Athena to still cover Biggin Hill.

We would all be very grateful!

Thank you for your posting Clarksmith.

We always appreciate positive feedback and will share your lovely comments with Athena and her manager.

You are correct in saying that things change and there is a bigger picture. At times staff have to move to ensure appropriate cover and the best possible service is delivered to all our families in Bromley.

Please be reassured that all our health visitors have completed the same level of training and for most of them this includes the Core Skill HENRY training. Families also have the option to access any of the Bromley Healthcare child health clinics.

I hope you find your new named health visitor as helpful, approachable and non-judgmental.

Thank you for your understanding response. Yes I have met other lovely & very helpful health visitors but sometimes you just find someone special. That is what you need when it is about something so dear to you as your childrens health & wellbeing. Unfortunately I do not drive or I would follow her to another clinic.

I guess all I can say is my loss is someone else's gain!
