"Thanks to Lewisham for a quick and considerate pregnancy scan"

My pregnant wife was recently very worried about the health of our unborn child. She had taken some drugs at the start of the year to help her periods be more regular, but unknown to her, she was already pregnant.

She read some scary article on the internet about the implications of this, and got freaked out. Our local hospital in Lewisham, even though they had done her usual 12 week scan, agreed to do another scan and even came in on a bank holiday Monday to do it for her.

We thought that was very nice, not least because there were no queues. The baby was fine, so all's well that ends well.
