We moved from Nottingham to Newark in June 2014, I googled the sure start centres and started getting Luke to the groups as soon as I could as he was used to going to them in Nottingham.
I tried one centre but didn't feel it was as good as the one we had been going to so tried another and straight away felt the groups we very friendly and welcoming. This centre was Bridge Children's Centre in Newark.
I had a lot of concerns regarding Luke and they gave me advice and put me in touch with more people who could help further. Luke's had delayed speech problems but thankfully now he's found his tongue and is progressing wonderfully!
I'd just like to thank Jo and Sharon and all the staff at Bridge for their help and support with Luke. It's a bit daunting moving to a new area with no friends or family around and as we're from up north we're a couple of hours away from family but the staff have welcomed us to Newark and their groups have helped us find new friends.
