"Perfection!!"

About: Colchester General Hospital

Considering the footfall last Tuesday evening, when I had to go to A and E, I was very pleasantly surprised by the calm, friendly and speedy booking-in process, the efficient and pleasant triage nurse and the undoubted skill of the doctor who, after 12 weeks and 3 different GPs, correctly diagnosed diagnosed my skin problem, which had almost become life-threatening. After only 6 day's of the doctor's prescribed treatment the horrific blisters on my forehead, face, chin, neck and mild body rash have miraculously disappeared! I can honestly say that after all the negative media comments, my husband and I went there with great trepidation and low expectations, only to come away feeling totally reassured. We were out of the hospital within 4 hours, having waited too for the medication to be made up. Thank you to the entire team as we arrived during a hugely busy shift. None of the staff showed any of the fatigue at what have been the end of a gruelling long day!!!

Many thanks for your comments and taking the time to submit them. We try really hard to improve our services based on the comments we receive from our patients, their relatives or carers. We have a quarterly At Our Best Awards scheme which recognises staff achievements and thanks them for what they do. It has a team category, an individual and a volunteer category. You could enter the team/the person you were kind enough to write in about, by clicking here! http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/At_Our_Best_Awards Also, could you email me, using the reference “+ve Comment on Accident and emergency services at 12/01/2015 12:22:43”, please so we can pass on your good wishes?
