About: Calderdale Royal Hospital

My sister is currently in this hospital having suffered a stroke which has left her unable to use the right side of her body although after having the stroke six days ago she was doing fine chatting laughing and was able to visit the hospital coffee shop on the ground floor when visitors arrived however three days ago she had a seizure and the medication she is on is making her very drowsy and confused she is unable to get out of bed or in my opinion do anything for herself my sister has not been eating or drinking since her seizure as she is now struggling with her left arm and hand. Whilst visiting her yesterday I found her propped up in bed with lots of pillows the food tray was in front of her with her untouched dinner and cup of tea although some carrots were on the table which suggests to me she had tried taking them from the plate but couldn't I tried to get my sister a little more comfortable and when I moved her bottom I found a full plastic tub of jelly with a spoon stuck into it which suggests she had tried eating it but dropped it I'm absolutely disgusted about the way she has been left I would like to know how many doctors and nurses can eat a tub of jelly with no movement in one arm and hand and very little in there other ????????????
