"Made me well again"

About: King's Mill Hospital / General medicine

(as the patient),

I had a brain tumour removed at Queens Medical about 9 wks ago. I was in there nearly 5 wks and when I finally got home I didn’t improve much. 3 wks later, having been cared for by my gr8 family I took a turn for the worse. I was admitted back to hospital for just over a wk which was Kings Mill Hospital. I had a high temp and a water infection which caused me not to be in the right mind. I was doing and saying horrible things to the doctors, nurses, carers and dining staff so much so that I felt some of the nurses were slightly afraid of me at the time which is to be expected when I was doing those things. The doctors and all the other staff have been very very good to me and got me back in good health. I never knew such a thing as a water infection could make u not in your right mind. They tell me I’m a very lucky man and I do feel that I am. I am now on the recovery road and I am truly grateful to everybody including my family and my wife who had to go through this terrible time. I have heard Kings Mill criticised for things on a regular basis but I’d like to say they are gr8. A big thank you to all at ward 34, best wishes to u all.
