Our 18month old girl has been in and out of hospital with breathing problems many times over the last 6 months and LGI provided good care each time. She was diagnosed at the LGI with a PDA heart defect in December 2014 and suggested keyhole surgery to fix it on a 2 month waiting list. The cardiologist was excellent and provided us with exceptional care and understanding at this appointment. We were very worried and had many many questions and she did very well to be utterly professional, yet caring and compassionate. She phoned us on 23rd December to offer us a cancellation for the procedure in early January and answered many questions again and urged us not to worry about the number of questions we had and to ask away for as long as we needed. Her secretary arranged for another phone call over the christmas period with the cardiologist who would be in charge of the procedure, again, he was excellent, reassuring, professional, and had as much time for us as we needed. When we arrived at the hospital in early January for the procedure, the staff looked after us extremely well and we really can't praise them all enough. Our experience of the LGI paediatric cardiology department was excellent and we would highly recommend their capability to give you the very best care.
"Paediatric Cardiology Services at LGI very good"
