"Breast Surgery"

About: Russells Hall Hospital

Treated in the Day Surgery Unit. Felt the admission process was rushed and impersonal. Felt very comfortable whilst waiting for my procedure. Needed to be taken by wheelchair to Imaging and Nuclear Medicine before surgery.. The porter who took me was excellent. Post surgery I felt that the named nurse who looked after me was not very communicative or attentive and I had to call for attention as there was no "buzzer"!! The Sister in charge was very professional, helpful and very approachable. The Breast Care nurses were very helpful and reassuring as were the radiographers etc. in Imaging. Thank you for my care.

Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback and a four star rating about your experience of our Day Surgery Unit. We always strive to make the experience of patients as positive as we can, so it is reassuring to know that most of the staff taking care of you during and after your procedure were kind and helpful, and that this helped to make your visit more comfortable. It always disappointing to hear when an otherwise positive visit has been let down by a few issues. Maintaining excellent communication between patients and the staff taking care of them is particularly important to us, so please be assured that we have passed your comments on to the lead nurse for this area who has raised the comments you have made with her team. We have also passed your kind comments and thanks on to the teams involved in your care.
