"Both parents admited"

About: Wexham Park Hospital

Both my parents were admitted by ambulance on 4/01/15, with pneumonia , they we're put on seperat sides of A&E, my father was place in ward 8 and after several hours my mum went to Midu. I cannot complain about the nursing staff, the ones on Midu were lovely. I do feel my mother has been sent home too early as she is no better. I am disgusted with the parking, it took me ages to find a space, and on the day my father came to see my mother because he was discharged before her I could find no parking even though I had a disabled badge I had to drop my dad off and come home, and come back to pick him up I couldn't go and visit. I was not happy doing this my dad is frail and walks with a stick and only left hospital himself the day before. My mum was discharged and luckily friends were visiting her at the time so they bought her home, otherwise she would have had to wait till late so I was guaranteed getting a space. Parking is disgusting the council are making a fortune giving out parking tickets.

Response from Wexham Park Hospital

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review after both your parents were admitted to Wexham Park Hospital. I am pleased to read the nursing staff were lovely on MIDU. I will pass your comments onto the team leader who will share with the team. I am sorry that the car parking is extremely challenging at Wexham Park. We have recently changed approxiamtely 40 staff car parking spaces into pay and display for the public, and we have submitted a planning application to expand the car parking creating an additional 216 spaces for visitors. If the planning application is approved by the local council then work will be completed this year. I do hope your parents are now recovering well Kind Regards Claire Marshall Associate Director of Patient Experience and Public Involvement
