I have had fantastic care over 12 years in this department. I have a very painful and rare recurrent oral ulceration problem and when this relapses i can barely swallow, eat or talk for days at a time. The consultant and her successor have always been extremely kind when I have been in pain and given top tips for self management, in addition to providing superb clinical assessment and treatment at all the stages of my illness. At times I had to go on a disease modifying immunosupressant which took a lot of hospital visits and monitoring tests. Again all the team - nurses and administrators and secretaries were kind, enabled change in appointments for acute relapses and I felt very well cared for. Most of the last 5 years I have been in remission so I have just stopped attending the clinic after a short and less severe bout. Their advice and care have helped find a treatment regime which has kept me well and working. We are very lucky to have Charles Clifford in Sheffield
