I have been a patient with Wythenshaw Hospital since the early 90's a young frightened person with SVT and 2 small children. I attended Oldham Royal for Clinic appoints. Having to take my 2 children with me. The doctor first cared for me. A perfect doctor who tolerated my children and myself in clinic. A lovely person. As the years went by it was clear my SVT would not subside. I was given an ablasion with a pacemaker. I have seen the pacemaker clinic evolve dramatically from us all being huddled in a small area waiting for a check which may I add was fine except space was a clear problem. I can't remember what year the beautiful big green building heart and lung place opened. But I went to visit for my check. I am amazed at how it runs. So much thaught put into these clinics. You get an appointment, staff are chearful, I have watched the Nurses come out with smiles and help others. This Hospital is huge and attends to so many people and yet they still manage to keep the environment warm and friendly. I have had a few pacemakers in my life. Without there care I would not have been able to raise my children and work. It is my time to say thank you to the doctors and the wonderful staff at wythenshawe for my life. The Hospital in my opinion deserves 5 star rating for everything. Kindest Regards to the Doctors and Staff. Joanna Baker
