I went to the GP with a concern about a lump. That was on Friday 2nd January. My appointment at the Homerton was made for Tuesday 6th January. At that appointment I dealt with administrative staff and several health professionals who all treated me kindly and with respect and care. I had a mammogram and an ultrasound scan. I saw the consultant before and after these tests and was informed of the results. I was there for only 2 hours. how about that? Referred, seen and diagnosed in 4 days! I am truly in awe of this excellent service. Please let's hear it for the NHS, and especially the Homerton. I'm 64 and have been using the Homerton for many years. I've had several procedures, investigations and operations over the years, my elderly parents both experienced the excellent palliative care of the hospital when they were terminally ill and 2 of my grandchildren were born there in the care of the marvellous midwives and nursing staff. I would like to say a very big thank you to you all.
