"A&E Can be better, but staff are not trying"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital

I do not understand the system of A&E. Triage room has been free for almost 20 mins and the staff nurse on the front desk was not doing anything because there were no patients to be booked in yet. I understand they have no beds, but if someone started the triage and took bloods, rather than waiting for a CSW to be finished with another patient in a different room. I think it would be quicker. I cannot emphasize enough, how that staff nurse was not doing anything other than waiting for patients to be booked in. She could have used the spare triage room, to take the patient's bloods or vital signs. It was such a waste of time for that nurse. It was utterly appalling. At least bloods and initial assessments were done rather than waiting for someone else to do it. Appalling.
